Welcome to Shiloh Temple of Praise

Shiloh Temple of Praise was established as Shiloh Christian Church in October 1990 in the home of George B. Quick. Bible classes begin in the Quick’s dining room.  Within a very short period of time the class grew.  A church charter was developed, and the vision of a church was officially birthed and established. Needing more space to accommodate the growing number of community members, Bible Study was moved to La Petite Academy and Worship services were held at the Comfort Inn Hotel.  As the church continued to grow, Worship services were moved to Anne Moncure Elementary School.  With the continued increase in membership, Shiloh Christian Church began constructing a permanent Worship Center in 1997.  After four years, much prayer and miracles, the new edifice was completed and the first service was held on Communion Sunday, April 2, 2000. As the church was established, a Theological Seminary was developed to prepare ministers for the teaching and preaching of the gospel.  The Seminary enrolled and successfully graduated forty (40) students with earned degrees.  The Seminary is not a ministry of Shiloh Temple of Praise.  George B. Quick is the chairman of the school’s governing Board.

Shiloh Christian Learning Center opened in the fall of 2000.  It is a state -licensed child Care center, fully equipped to provide childcare services for infants ages six weeks (6 weeks) through twelve (12) years of age.  The center operates using Biblical principles for developing a Godly child.  Full-time and part-time childcare is available Monday through Friday.

Shiloh Community Services Corporation (SCSC) is another Christian venture established by George B. Quick.  One of the first major activities of SCSC was to host the Stafford Community Awards and Martin Luther King Dinner for Stafford, Fredericksburg and the surrounding counties.  Many other projects designed to serve the surrounding counties are currently being planned.

Shiloh Christian Church is moving into a higher level of God’s anointing as a house of praise and worship to God Almighty.  The Bible tells us that God inhabits the praise of His people, “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.” Psalm 22:3. Praise is a vehicle of faith which brings us into the presence and power of God!  God’s presence responds when we move upon Him with worship!

As Shiloh Temple of Praise, we are believers that “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him and bless his name” (Psalms 100:4).
